Shopping for a swimsuit = depression
So, I decided I wanted to take my son to the hotel's indoor pool but since I didn't have a bathing suit we made a quick stop at the local Target to find a swimming suit for me to wear. Well, let me just say that I nearly walked out of there in tears:( After checking out the swimming suits and trying them on I ended up liking one only to find out that it was a maternity swimming suit and of course I didn't take it (wasn't about to wear a maternity suit if I'm not pregnant). Later, my husband suggested checking out the men's swimming shorts.....that just made me well up:( In the end I bought some work out shorts (to wear as a swimming shorts) and I still haven't taken my son to the pool and to be quite honest I don't think I will:( To make matters worse we made a stop at McDonald's and you can imagine our choices weren't exactly all that healthy. This is so frustrating! I wish I could just make a wish and have it magically happen! *sigh* oh well, another reason to try harder.

Hi there. I just wanted to tell you that you're not alone girlie. I hate bathing suit shopping too and usually end up hitting up the McDonald's to make myself feel better but that's only a temporary fix :( Starting in September I'll be back in the gym 5 days a week, you don't by chance live in the Raleigh, NC area do you, cause I could use a gym buddy! :)
ReplyDeleteYou totally made me laugh Alhely... But I would of felt the same way LOL!!

I can totally relate to this post! I have struggled with losing my baby weight (my daughter is 18 months). Take it one day and one pound at a time!

I know, it is really not fun to go swimming suit shopping. Who likes to do that? Probably only the swimming suit models. LOL!

:( I know exactly how you feel. I get depressed when trying on clothes and then want to cheer myself up by getting a sugary treat. Just makes it worse for next time I go shopping. I've been trying to make an effort to get out and do more and eat better.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower from bloggy moms. I hope you'll stop by and follow back if you like! Thanks.
