If you're wondering why I haven't posted anything in the last couple of days, let me tell you, I have a good reason. We decided to go visit my husband's family up north for the weekend and it was a hectic couple of days before we left trying to pack everything and get everything ready. We had a pretty nice time with the family but I'm going to admit that as far as eating healthy and staying active I did absolutely nothing. I know it's taking me quite a bit to get on track, but the fact that I haven't already given up makes me feel like I'm not completely at a loss.
So I told you guys on my last post that I was going to get a gym membership and after spending some time today touring my local 24hfc and YMCA I have to say I feel I'll probably get most out of my YMCA being that I'll be able to take my son with me and have some "mommy and me" time there at no additional fee. I'm still thinking about both and hopefully tomorrow I will make my decision and start working out more regularly.

Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake Bars,Potato Beef Patties, and Life
I know, I know, what the heck am I doing baking more right?! I swear I couldn't help myself and to make it worse I didn't go for my walk. I'm finding out that I'm really starting to enjoy cooking and baking and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but I do know that it helps me get through my day. Prior to blogging, my days consisted of waking up, cleaning, taking care of my toddler, cleaning, changing diapers, cooking, serving the food, cleaning up, washing dishes, changing diapers, putting toddler to sleep, watch some tv and go to sleep. I get very little adult interaction, unless I go visit my family, and right now I haven't been able to go and chances are that I wont be able to go until sometime next month. As crazy as it seems this blog is allowing me to have a "life" other than being a mother and a wife. Don't get me wrong, I love being a mom and a wife but I miss being me, I miss taking care of myself, pampering myself, doing things for me because I enjoy them and because I want to. I may not be able to do things the way I did, before I became a wife and a mom, but here in the blogging world I feel like I'm not totally lost. That I can still do things for me and I'm so excited to see where this will take me to!:)
PS Don't forget to check out my recipe page:) I'll be posting the recipes that I find healthy and delicious err... well NOT always healthy, but definitely delicious!:)

Good Morning!
I'm not sure why but I woke up with a headache this morning (must be the withdrawal symptoms lol) no but seriously I think that's what it was. I did good yesterday and stayed within the calories allowed (1245) anMd finally got myself to do some exercise. My hubby wanted me to bake a raspberry crumble cake and I was a little nervous about giving up before the end of the day but I'm happy to say that I ended up making raspberry crumble muffins and I made them somewhat "healthy" and I had ONE muffin (as opposed to the 1/4 cake slice I would've cut for myself). It's 9:30 right now and I still have a little bit of a headache but I'm feeling so good that I wonder why it's so hard to eat healthy and exercise. I mean seriously, at least for me, every time I over eat, every day I spend doing nothing, I just feel lazy, lethargic, depressed, unhappy but whenever I eat healthy and exercise I always feel like everything's so great, I feel happy, content, lively, energetic...so I mean seriously makes me wonder why is it so hard?
On a different subject, I know my blog is a little plain right now and not at all very interesting and I have trouble expressing and articulating myself but I promise I will work on it. I'm enjoying this blog and I'm looking for ways to make myself better and make my blog better. I've been looking for some tips on how to blog but I'm overwhelmed by all the sites and haven't really found one that I find useful for me. Does anyone know of any good sites to learn how to blog?

Lazy Sunday-Monday
It's been a little bit of a struggle for me to get into the exercise mode. Sunday was Father's Day and we just relaxed at home and watched t.v. I made a big breakfast that consisted of eggs, potatoes, hotcakes, bacon, and sausage (I know:/ really bad) and for dinner my husband barbecued some flank steak and shrimps (we didn't skip dessert either) and no, I didn't exercise at all.
Monday was I little better as far as my eating went. I made myself a "breakfast" drink with rolled oats, blueberries, raspberries, almond milk, and some peanut butter, and I have to say it came out pretty good. Lunch was some watermelon and for dinner I had a flank steak panini on a sourdough bread (not the healthiest dinner but it was better than the day before).
I did some house chores during the day but nothing really that I would say gave me a "workout" I struggled all day to get myself to either go walking, do an exercise video, or walk on the treadmill (I know right? should be piece of cake to get started not like I have things keeping me from working out) in the end I ended up doing it some "yard" work which consisted of cleaning up all the fruit that had fallen from our apricot tree.
Today I'm feeling a little bit better and I do want to work out so I think I'm going to go for a walk with my toddler and maybe I'll even try one of those 10 minute exercise videos. We'll see.
